Kelly Rosati, Esq.

An attorney by training, Ms. Rosati has spent 17 years applying the discipline of mediation and negotiation in the public policy arena, resolving conflict among legislators and interested parties. Named by the Honolulu Star Bulletin in 2000 as one of the “10 Who Made a Difference” in the state of Hawaii for her role in protecting Hawaii minors from adult exploitation, Ms. Rosati negotiated the resolution among Democratic and Republican legislators for Hawaii’s first ever Gubernatorial veto override since statehood in 1959.

Noting her leadership and mediation skills, Ms. Rosati was named by Hawaii’s Governor to the Hawaii Children’s Trust Fund, where her colleagues voted her Chair of the Trust Fund.  She was also appointed by Hawaii’s Governor to Chair Hawaii’s Family Celebration Commission. In these roles, she regularly mediated disparate interests and parties to resolution.

Additionally, she founded and chaired a Hawaii coalition of physicians, nurses, hospitals, nursing homes and hospice providers to advance the cause of palliative care, mediating and negotiating among legislators
and health care providers to reach consensus on controversial issues. She also mediated and negotiated among state government regulators and a dozen health care plans regarding coverage and terms for state employees and Medicaid recipients in Wisconsin.
