Guy C. Wilson, Esq.
Guy Wilson brings to the mediation process the experience of a lengthy and varied career in the practice of law. A California native, resident of Arizona for over fifty years, and admitted to practice in both states, he is a graduate of Yale College and Harvard Law School. He served in the Army during the Korean War and later clerked in the Arizona Supreme Court for Levi S. Udall and Jesse A. Udall. He has been a sole practitioner in Scottsdale and, from 1972 to 1986, a member of the Phoenix firm of Daughton, Feinstein & Wilson.
His practice has been primarily in business transactions and controversies, including construction issues and real property disputes. Throughout his career, his focus has been on resolving such matters without litigation, believing that a negotiated solution best serves all parties. When required, he has represented clients before the Arizona Supreme Court, Arizona Courts of Appeals, Superior Courts of Arizona, Superior Courts of California, United States Courts of Appeal for the 9th Circuit and the 10th Circuit, United States District Courts, US Tax Court, General Accountability Office, US Court of Claims, Arizona Corporation Commission, and municipal councils and boards in Arizona and California.
His Martindale-Hubbell rating is av, and he has been listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers in Real Property, Taxation, and Estate Planning and Probate.
Community activities have included: Life member, Scottsdale Charros; former president, Scottsdale Rotary; Secretary and Director, Scottsdale Girls Club; Trustee, Desert Foundation; former president, Yale Club of Phoenix; various State Bar committees; directorships in Valley Community Hospital, Scottsdale Baseball Club, Friends of the Scottsdale Public Library, and various other local entities and ad hoc committees. Mr. Wilson is married to his wife Jane, a health care consultant; he has one daughter, Graham (Christchurch, New Zealand); and two sons, Gus (recent graduate of the University of Arizona, now in Auckland, New Zealand), and Spencer (now a plebe at US Naval Academy).
